Switzerland

Switzerland offers you the very best in education and lifestyle, the ideal choice for international students who wish to study abroad. Switzerland is an extremely safe country with high-level healthcare and quality of life. Its natural beauty, cultural and linguistic diversity and the Swiss reputation for excellence and professionalism, all add to its attributes.
Where better to study hotel and tourism management than in its birthplace? Switzerland, in particular the Valais region, is often referred to as the birthplace of hospitality. Before becoming “The King of Hoteliers and The Hotelier of Kings”, César Ritz chose to leave his home in Niederwald, just a few kilometres from Brig, to go abroad searching knowledge and experience. His tradition of luxury, excellence and service has set the standard for hotels and restaurants throughout the world.

César Ritz Colleges is a school with three great campuses! Located throughout Switzerland, the birthplace of hospitality, our campuses allow you to discover both the French and the German parts of Switzerland.

Le Bouveret Campus - on the shores of Lake Geneva

The Professional Centre is situated in French-speaking Le Bouveret, on the shores of stunning Lake Geneva, Western Europe’s largest lake.

Lucerne Campus – in central Switzerland

The César Ritz Campus is located in the magnificient "Union" building in the town of Lucerne. which was built in the early 1900’s and which underwent major renovations to welcome students in modern facilities. Located near Lake Lucerne, only 45 minutes away from Zurich by train or by car, Lucerne is a world-renowned tourism destination, known for its culture and modern convention centre.

Brig Campus - at the foot of the Matterhorn

The University Centre is situated in Brig, the largest German-speaking town in the Valais region at the foot of the famous resorts of Zermatt and Saas-Fee.

Academic facilities

The multi-campus approach of César Ritz balances theoretical and practical learning resources in a combination of traditional and state-of-the-art facilities. You will find the latest PC’s, projectors and electronic whiteboards in the classrooms and lecture theatres. Both campuses have production kitchens and formal dining rooms where students practise service styles and banquet and event management skills.

Accommodation

Student accommodation is designed to offer you the comfort and privacy you will need to study and relax. Bedrooms are spacious, modern and comfortable, many offer en-suite bathroom facilities with shower. All rooms are furnished with a desk, office chair and ample storage and wardrobe space.

Student life – Friends for life

There are excellent opportunities to participate in social and sporting activities throughout Switzerland and Europe. Many of these activities are organized by the Student Committee, which is elected each term by the student body.
Social activities provide you an opportunity to get to know your fellow students away from the campus environment and can often develop your professional knowledge. The Student Committee organizes events such as the weekly theme nights and excursions to tourist attractions, visits to famous cities, exhibitions and industry trade shows in Switzerland and beyond.

Sport and physical activity play an important role in your overall health and well-being. We provide students with fully equipped fitness rooms and outdoor sports facilities, including a private football field in Le Bouveret and basketball and volleyball courts in Brig. Joining a sports team will help create new friendships, develop your team spirit and keep you fit!
Switzerland is famous for its beautiful natural sports playgrounds, all of which are easily accessed from either campus. Its famous mountains, valleys and lakes offer year-round opportunities for individual and team sporting activities such as sailing, golf, biking, skating and paragliding. During the winter, you can easily reach the ski slopes by car, train or local bus.
